Privacy Policy
This policy covers this website — what happens with information you share here. If you're a patient, your health information is protected separately under HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive at the practice; nothing about your care flows through this site.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us, and there are exactly four places to do that:
- The contact form — your name, how to reach you, and your message. It goes to the practice so we can respond.
- The newsletter signup — your email address, used to send you the newsletter. We also record whether each issue was opened and whether you followed a link in it, so we know which topics were worth writing about and whether the email is reaching you.
- An event sign-up — your name and email, used to send you the joining link and the recordings for that event, and nothing else.
- A gift card request — your name, email and phone number, who the card is for, and optionally their email address so we can send the card straight to them.
None of these has a free-text box except the contact form's message, and we ask you to keep medical details out of that one. That is deliberate: it means nothing you type here can carry health information onward to anyone.
There are no accounts, no logins, and no payment processing on this site. Gift cards are paid for by phone with a member of staff, so no card details ever reach this website. Booking happens by phone or email with a real person.
What we don't do
- We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing.
- We don't run advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use Google Analytics or anything like it.
- On this website, we count how many times each newsletter page was loaded, per day. That is a total per article, with nothing recorded about who visited — no name, no address, no cookie, no profile.
- In the newsletter email, we record whether your copy was opened and whether you followed a link. Those are tied to your email address rather than kept as anonymous totals, so we can tell you what happened to your copy if you ever ask. Opens are measured with a single invisible image, which you can defeat by leaving images switched off in your mail app, as most apps do by default; links are routed through our own address on the way to wherever they were going. We look at it for two reasons. The first is to know which topics were worth writing about. The second is to make sure the email is actually getting through: if an issue stops arriving at a whole mail provider, or starts landing in spam instead of the inbox, this is usually the first sign of it, and it is how we catch a delivery problem and put it right.
- Please don't put medical details in the contact form — save those for your visit, where they're properly protected.
Affiliate links
Some links on our Shop page are affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links and partner discount codes. If you buy through them, the practice earns a small commission at no cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.
Who handles the data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which processes standard web logs (like IP addresses) to serve and protect the site. Newsletter email is delivered through our email provider, which stores subscriber addresses on our behalf. Neither may use your information for their own purposes.
Your choices
- Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
- You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, any time — email justin@capeconciergept.com or call 508-564-8877.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes get a mention in the newsletter.
