My business coach asked me a question I couldn't stop thinking about
A note from Ashley on our mission, our values, and the next five years.

Hi friends,
A few weeks ago, my business coach asked me a simple question: "What's your five-year plan?"
I had answers about schedules, staffing, and new programs. But the question stuck with me for days, because what I really wanted to answer was a bigger one: who are we, and what do we want to mean to the people we care for?
So I sat down with our team and did some honest thinking. I want to share where we landed, because you're a big part of the answer.
Where we started
For most of you, Cape Concierge was the place you came when something hurt: a shoulder, a knee, a back that wouldn't cooperate. We're proud of that. Getting you back to what you love is work we'll always do.
But I've noticed something over 20 years of practice. The best outcomes don't come from fixing an injury. They come from the plan that follows, when you understand your body well enough to stay ahead of the next problem.
Where we're going
Our mission comes down to one sentence:
We fix what hurts. Then we build you for what's next.
Over the next five years, we want to be the team you see before something goes wrong. That means strength for the decades ahead, bone health you can count on, and a body that's ready for whatever you ask of it, whether that's a lacrosse season, a round of golf, or a grandchild to lift.
And for women, we want to prove that life can get better after menopause.
We also want to care for your whole family, from the teenage athlete to the grandparent, with one team that knows your story.
What we believe
These are the values behind everything we do:
- Proactive over reactive. We'd rather prepare you than repair you.
- Education is an intervention. Understanding the why changes outcomes, so teaching you is part of the treatment, not an extra. (It's also why I started our podcast, Strong, Inside and Out.)
- Unhurried, whole-person care. You get time, attention, and a clinician who sees the whole person, not just the body part.
- A team, not a solo act. PT, OT, speech, pelvic health, strength coaching, and nutrition, all working together for you.
- Evidence first. We follow the research, not the trends.
What this means for you
The next time you finish a plan of care with us, you'll hear us say, "You're fixed. Now let's make sure this doesn't happen again." That's our promise to keep building with you.
If you haven't had one yet, the Movement Physical is the best place to start. It's a twice-yearly movement screen that gives you a baseline and catches small issues before they turn into pain. Just reply to this email to book yours.
One small ask
I'd love to hear from you. If a friend asked you why they should see Cape Concierge, what would you tell them? Hit reply and let me know. Your answers genuinely shape where we go from here.
Thank you for trusting us with your health. We can't wait to build what's next with you.
Warmly,
Ashley Katzenback, PT, DPT
