Are you INJURED or just SORE?

Understanding your body and recovery: Are you injured or are you sore?
Kara and I spent a lovely evening at Elite Nation Wellness in Marstons Mills, empowering clients with knowledge about injury and recovery. For those of you that couldn't make it, we wanted to share some of our clinical pearls.
1. Don't try to exercise on a joint that you can't fully extend (straighten).
2. Don't overstretch your Achilles if you are having pain there.
3. Continue to move and exercise. Modifications are always available.
4. Sauna and compression therapy are the best tools to aid in recovery.
5. What you do TODAY for recovery (Hydrate, Fuel and Sleep), determines how you will perform tomorrow.
6. Pops, clicks and crunching sounds are okay, as long as not associated with pain.
7. If you don't know what to do, then call, text or email your favorite PT and we will talk you through the next steps.
